Where to Stay in Kendal

Kendal Encounter is non-residential, so you'll need to book your own accommodation. The good news? Kendal has plenty of it, and much is a short walk from the Castle Centre.
Tip: Late June is busy in the Lake District. Book early, ideally when you book your place.

Eating during the weekend
Lunch isn't provided, and Friday and Saturday run until late. So plan for an evening meal on Friday, lunch and an evening meal on Saturday. Kendal town centre has plenty of cafes, pubs and takeaways a few minutes' walk from the venue. You're also welcome to bring your own food. Tea, coffee and refreshments are available at the Castle Centre.
